What is the difference between thermopane and insulated glass? Thermopane was one one the first companies that manufactured insulated glass. Thermopane became synonymous with insulated much in the same way that Kleenex is to tissue.

How to measure? Measure the visible width of the glass first and then the height.  We will adjust for the portion of the glass hidden within the frame.

What are muntin bars? Muntin bars are the aluminum bars inside the insulated glass unit that for decorative purposes forms a colonial type pattern.

What is Low E glass? Low E glass is treated with a clear metal finish that makes the glass more energy efficient and reduces the ultra violet rays of the sun from passing through.

What is tempered glass? Tempered glass has been heat treated, which makes the glass stronger.  When this type of glass breaks it forms small pebble-size pieces.

Question: What is a thermopane window, and how does it work in my favor?
Answer: A "thermopane" or double-paned window has two panes of glass, separated by a trapped air space. The trapped air acts as an insulator, reducing heat or air conditioning loss through the glass. If the seals or window is broken the heat or air conditioning is escaping from your house leading to higher energy bills.

Question: Why is there condensation or fog in between my windows?
Answer: The window is cracked or the seal has broken letting the gas escape and the ambient air in. Thermopane seals are guaranteed for 10 years after the date of the initial repair.
